Out of seven seed pods, one grew very well, 3 others sprouted but never really achieved healthy growth, one dying within days of sprouting, and three pods did nothing. No sprouts, no leaves, nothing. I've grown several crops of herbs in the past using this system with great success, and the one time a pod did not produce, the AeroGarden company immediately sent me a replacement pod. I thought this time that I would save a little money and order it via ebay and tried this company. It was a mistake. Not only did I get almost no herbs for my money, this company did not answer any of my emails about the problems. I am not sure if these were just old seeds, or were poorly handled and stored, but they lacked the viability that I had come to expect from AeroGarden.
