I bought this light fixture after looking for a similar fixture in local big box hardware stores, without success. I grow vegetable seedlings for my own garden and a demonstration garden. Setup was easy. The T5 HO bulbs provide very bright light for seedlings and have resulted in very good and noticeably faster growth than my old T12 light. The reflector hood reflects and concentrates the light, but doesn't allow much "overflow" light, so that a 19" long flat doesn't quite fit underneath it when placed cross-wise so I either use a less-than-full flat or put fewer flats underneath. The holders that connect the unit to the chain are a little too long, and will keep me from raising the light much farther on my shelving unit as the plants underneath grow. I'll be replacing those with shorter holders. My only (minor) complaint about this unit is that the reflector hood is a little flimsy. Mine had a small dent in it when it arrived, not enough to affect performance so I did not send it back. I will very likely buy another next year, although probably the 4-light fixture that will accommodate fully 4 flats underneath. Read full review

Since this light is made of hammertone, mirro aluminum, I find it a good value...Everything worked out of the box as expected...One of the bulbs was half as bright as the others, but don't find this a major problem...It works good for clones and seedlings...Considering the lumen output in comparison with other grow lights, I haven't found a more reasonable light than this one...If it lasts two or more years, I will be happy to buy another one as a replacement...

Heavy built. Great reflector. Every thing was packaged in away to where the products was secure and safe. Wouldi buy it again? I have three of these and so far they work good. My concern is the ballast and how long it will hold up. We will see.

The light arrived quickly and was easy to set up and use. I like the feature of having separate switches to allow use of 2 or 4 bulbs. The hammered metal on the interior helps to provide brighter light. My plants are already thriving!
