- Rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas, and other acid-loving plants have special nutritional needs. Without just the right pH balance, the roots simply cannot access the nutrients in the soil.
- Our Acid Loving Plants formula has a special pH level just for acid-loving plants, and it’s blended with premium organic ingredients like cottonseed meal, feather meal, bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and humic acid, a naturally occurring organic material that is formed when organic matter decomposes. Humic acid helps with seed germination and may increase the uptake of important micronutrients.
- Garden Tip: For new plantings, use 1/4 cup for every plant, and scatter another 1/2 cup around the base of the plant after it’s in the ground. Mix two parts FoxFarm Original Planting Mix with one part native soil when you plant. For established plants, use 1/2 cup for every 2 feet of plant height. Fertilize spring-blooming plants once in early spring as soon as buds start to appear, and again at the end of the blooming season as flowers wither away.
