Low-effort, high-yield growing kits cobbled together using reclaimed products and materials for an eco-friendly option to indoor gardening.

Simply set up, plant seeds, let the plants drink down the water to the halfway point, and top off as needed every few days. The Kratky method of hydroponics uses jars as water reservoirs and expanded clay pebbles provide a reusable, stable medium to anchor the base of the plants while allowing roots to grow freely and get as much oxygen as they need.

These kits are customizable, so you can configure the kit based on what you already have on hand. Check the pictures for more details about what's in each version of the kits. Add-ons include rock wool cubes for easier seed starting, and nutrient powder for you to mix your own nutrient-enriched hydroponic water solution.

For these kits, I source as many mason jars as I can from thrift and resale shops, and all of the peanut butter jars are diverted from the waste stream as well.

NOTE: Peanut butter jar kits come with a 3D printed adapter ring to help the net pots sit more securely on top of the jar.
